Philippe de Gaspé Beaubien III – Chairman
Mr. de Gaspé Beaubien is Chief Executive Officer of Telemedia Ventures Inc. Prior to this appointment, Mr. de Gaspé Beaubien was President of Gasbeau Company, where one of his main responsibilities was the development and implementation of the company’s investment activities as well as the operating management of its ventures. Mr. de Gaspé Beaubien is a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA) and of the investment analyst training program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Frank Di Tomaso
Frank Di Tomaso, FCA, a chartered accountant since 1972, is a consulting partner with accounting firm Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton where he has worked since 1981. Most recently he was Managing Partner Audit – Public companies, and a member of the board of the Chartered Accountants of Québec. Frank is a staunch supporter of education around standards for ethical behaviour in finance and he spent many years as a member of the Code of Ethics Working Group of the Ordre des Comptables Agréés du Québec, and of the Ethics Standards Harmonization Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
Eric Melka
Mr. Melka is Chief Executive Officer of Redline Communications. Mr. Melka earned his experience from over 18 years in sales and business development in the technology sector, developing relationships with Netscape, Microsoft, and Salesforce.com. Throughout his career, Mr. Melka has invested, consulted and advised several start-ups, and has served on several Board of Directors for technology companies, including ZenonMEI (sold to Telus), GOT, Sitesell and ICS. As founder of Follow Your Dream, a charitable organization, Mr. Melka is personally involved in developing rural areas and developing training and education programs in English and Technology in Asia. Mr. Melka holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bishops University.
Skuli Mogensen
Skuli Mogensen was the co-founder, CEO and President of OZ Communications Inc., a leading consumer mobile messaging solution provider acquired by Nokia in November 2008. A seasoned executive with over 15 years of broad business experience in the technology, telecom and venture capital industries, Mr. Mogensen is an active speaker on both sides of the Atlantic. He has been recognized as one of Europe’s top entrepreneurs based on his work at OZ Communications and through his involvement in the start-up of several companies in the telecom field, including Og Vodafone in Iceland and Arctic Ventures in Stockholm. Currently Skuli is an active investor and board member of Carbon Recycling International, CAOZ, and iPerceptions among others.
Rob Soni
Rob Soni graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. Rob then joined the Boston office of the Boston Consulting Group before joining Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) where he rose to Managing General Partner. After BVP, Rob joined Matrix Partners where he is currently employed. Rob has been and continues to be an investor and director at numerous technology companies. Rob is married with two children and resides in the greater Boston area.
