Philippe de Gaspé Beaubien III – Chairman
Philippe de Gaspé Beaubien is Chief Executive Officer of Telemedia Ventures Inc. Prior to this appointment, Philippe was President of Gasbeau Company, where one of his main responsibilities was the development and implementation of the company’s investment activities as well as the operating management of its ventures. Philippe is a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA) and of the investment analyst training program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Eric Demirian is currently the President of Parklea Capital, a position he has held since 2003. He has significant transaction experience involving mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and public and private financings with experience in a wide range of industries including technology, communications and entertainment, clean-tech, manufacturing, distribution, financial, consumer goods and real estate. Eric has extensive public company board of directors, audit committee and special committee experience and is currently a director of Descartes Systems Group, Imax Corporation and Enghouse Systems Limited. Eric is a former director of Leisure Canada Inc. (2010–2011), Menu Foods Income Fund (2005-2010) and Keystone North America Inc. (2007–2010). He is a CPA, CA and CGA.
Skuli Mogensen is the CEO and co-founder of WOW air. Prior to this, he was the co-founder, CEO and President of OZ Communications Inc., a leading consumer mobile messaging solution provider acquired by Nokia in November 2008. A seasoned executive with over 15 years of broad business experience in the technology, telecom and venture capital industries, Skuli is an active speaker on both sides of the Atlantic. He has been recognized as one of Europe’s top entrepreneurs based on his work at OZ Communications and through his involvement in the start-up of several companies in the telecom field, including Og Vodafone in Iceland and Arctic Ventures in Stockholm. Currently Skuli is an active investor and board member of Carbon Recycling International, CAOZ, and iPerceptions among others.
Rob Soni graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. Rob then joined the Boston office of the Boston Consulting Group before joining Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) where he rose to Managing General Partner. After BVP, Rob joined Matrix Partners where he is currently employed. Rob has been and continues to be an investor and director at numerous technology companies. Rob is married with two children and resides in the greater Boston area.
John Wilson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Quantapoint Inc, a technology-driven solutions provider to the oil and gas industry. He has spent the past 32 years working at the intersection of technology and the oil and gas industry, having held executive positions in the oilfield service sector, including with companies such as Stratos Global Corporation, where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of broadband services; Trade Ranger Inc. as its CEO; Vertias DGC as President of the exploration services division; and Haliburton Company as Executive Vice President. Mr. Wilson was born in the United Kingdom and holds a Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering and Physics from Loughborough University of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration from the Polytechnic of Central London.
